Walk in my shoes sign UP
Walk in My Shoes is a storytelling project that shares the real-life experiences of adults with disabilities through personal stories and professional photographs. The project aims to build understanding, challenge stereotypes, and help people see individuals beyond their disabilities. We are now seeking stories from people with disabilities who are eligible for CLBC services, including individuals with a developmental disability, or those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) who also require significant support with daily living activities.
Selected participants will be invited to an in-person story gathering and professional photo session. Their stories will be featured on the website, showcased at the 2026 Home Sharing Provider Awards Ceremony, and shared through HSSSBC’s awareness campaigns to inspire greater understanding and inclusion.
