Ask An Expert
Ask An Expert is a free support service for home sharing providers. Whether you have questions about service delivery, finances, health, or anything related to home sharing, our expert panel is here to help. You can book a one-on-one session with professionals who understand the home sharing world and are ready to offer practical guidance tailored to your situation.
Training
We offer training to help home sharing providers stay informed and prepared in a changing world. HSSSBC hosts events where providers can learn directly from experts in a range of fields and connect with others in the home sharing community. We also cover the full cost of a comprehensive harm reduction course to support safe and informed care. In addition, providers can access high quality online learning through Open Future Learning to build skills at their own pace.
Resources, Tools and Information
We provide practical resources, helpful tools, and latest information to support the home sharing community. Here you will find guidance on best practices, policies, forms, and more. Can’t find what you are looking for? We got you covered, send in a request and we will gather the information needed to build a resource.
Respite Services
Caring for others is meaningful work, but everyone needs time to rest and recharge. HSSSBC supports home sharing providers in finding qualified respite workers when they need a break. We offer guidance with recruitment, provide training resources for respite workers, and support home sharing providers through the criminal record check process to ensure safe and reliable care.
