Harm Reduction Training
We’re excited to announce that the Home Sharing Support Society (HSSSBC) is covering the fees for a comprehensive Harm Reduction Course, and we invite you to take advantage of this valuable opportunity. Harm reduction is a critical aspect of promoting health and well-being in our communities.
By participating in this course, you will:
- Gain insights into common theories of dependence.
- Understand the principles and practices of harm reduction.
- Learn how harm reduction fits within a continuum of support options.
- Recognize risk factors and signs of overdose.
- Acquire essential skills to respond effectively to an overdose.
This course is designed to empower you with practical knowledge and strategies that can be applied both personally and within the scope of home sharing. As we continue our commitment to the well-being of our members, we believe that investing in harm reduction education is a meaningful step towards creating a safer and more supportive homes and communities.
Key Course Details:
- Duration: 30 days (self-paced)
- Prerequisites: Basic computer skills and access to MS Office 2010 or later
- Language: English (reading and writing at a grade 8 level)
- Enrollment: Register at any time during the month or year

Please note that we will only cover the course fees for those who have received confirmation and approval from us. Once we receive your invoice, we will promptly process the payment.
Not all applications will be approved. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis until available spots are filled.
