Let’s Talk About Inclusive Employment

Employment is more than earning an income. It builds purpose, confidence, and belonging. For people with disabilities, meaningful work can also mean greater independence and community connection.

In British Columbia, many individuals, employers, and organizations are helping to remove barriers to employment. Inclusive workplaces offer flexibility, accessibility, and respect for each person’s strengths. Studies show that when businesses hire inclusively, they experience higher employee satisfaction and stronger team culture.

This month, we highlight how inclusive employment creates opportunity, changes perceptions, and strengthens communities across BC.
