Presenters:

Sarah Hunn is an Emergency Planning Coordinator with the City of Vancouver where she is responsible for public education and hazard risk communication. In this role she facilitates emergency preparedness education for individuals through presentations, leads social media campaigns, website updates, and seasonal hazard messaging before, during and after events. Sarah also holds an ongoing response role and has responded to dozens of events including wind storms, flooding, apartment fires, pandemic and extreme heat events. She has a BSc in Geography and minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria and Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management from Sheridan College. Sarah brings expertise from past Emergency Management roles with City of Victoria and City of Richmond to her work in Vancouver. 

Tracey Anderson has over 25 years of experience working with Indigenous organizations in various capacities across multiple fields. 13 years of experience working with First Nations in Emergency Management (EM) training and providing one-to-one EM advisory services for planning and exercising plans. She lives and works on the Six Nations of the Grand River in southern Ontario. Tracey helps strengthening CRC’s EM framework to provide advisory services, training, tools and resources for First Nations and Indigenous organizations; enhancing their mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
