Dr. Connie Coniglio has extensive operational and clinical experience developing and delivering mental health and substance use programs and services for adults, youth, and children in British Columbia and Ontario. Dr. Coniglio served as Chief Operating Officer at BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services where she was the most senior operational leader of a continuum of care for individuals with complex mental health and substance use concerns.
Dr. Coniglio led development of models of care for BCMHSUS, including the new Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health and Addiction, Heartwood Centre for Women, and Forensic Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Coniglio also prepared the business case for the transfer of the Provincial Assessment Centre from CLBC to PHSA. Dr. Coniglio is a registered psychologist in BC (retired) and has a doctorate from the University of Toronto.
Connie recently completed a consulting engagement with Phoenix Society for the preparation of a clinical model of care, supported by a core clinical educational curriculum, a staff professional development/education plan, and a communications plan. She is currently working on a project with CLBC on managing access to care for adults with IDD.
