In December 2024, HSSSBC proudly hosted the inaugural HSP Awards Ceremony to honor the incredible dedication of home sharing providers. The afternoon was a celebration filled with inspiring stories, heartfelt gratitude, and moments of joy.
We were honored to welcome Sheila Malcolmson, Minister of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, and Jerry Stanger, Strategic Operations Director of Community Living BC, who joined us in recognizing the vital contributions of home sharing providers.
We extend our gratitude to the generous donors whose support made this event possible. A special thank you to Oona Krieg, Chief Operating Officer of Brave Technology Co-Op, for attending the ceremony and showing their unwavering support. Your contributions help make celebrations like this a reality and ensure that the incredible efforts of home sharing providers are recognized and celebrated.
We also thank Indigenous Elder John Sam for the meaningful land acknowledgment and Ryan Lachance for filling the room with laughter through his fantastic comedy performance.
